It was smart of them to wait until many other cities did theirs.. because most of them are complete trash. I really like the KC logo, they should adopt that for all their uni’s.
I am not ready to go that far…but I have a question…why did he start today? I mean, in a week in which we got starts from Cueto and Martin, Vince seems superfluous.
If they don’t put up a crooked number on the guy with a nearly double digit ERA i stg

This f*ckin team knows how to suck the life out of me as a fan. It’s no longer “early” in the season. While I don’t expect them to be one of the worst offenses in MLB by the end of the year, I don’t see this team moving into the top half either. Too many flawed hitters who don’t work counts and hit balls into the dirt.
It’s time Hahn gets his walking papers. He doesn’t know how to build a balanced lineup and absolutely refuses to fix right field and/or second base.
Well the OBP and overaggressive approach is to me the root of the issue, so this is definitely progress there albeit against a pair of pitchers who are (and have been) struggling to find the strike zone. They gotta keep this going to restart the offense, even with power outages throughout the lineup 11 baserunners in 4 innings usually means more than 3 runs.
Benetti with a great point calling out how it makes no sense to pinch hit Engel for Mcguire (Grandal has to come in and catch), while letting Sheets hit against the lefty. They should have pinch hit both Grandal and Engel. They took the lead, but that’s still a mistake.
There was some of that about the lineup earlier in this series. I think “interesting” was deployed in a way that meant “I don’t approve, but won’t say more.”
Ouch, .283 team OBP this year compared to .345 through 37 games last year.
I’m putting the over/under on sox runs scored at 2.5…I’m taking the over, but I’m an idiot.
White Sox facing literally what could be the worst pitcher in the AL. I expect runs…loads of runs.
Keep walking or else
.590 xBA out. &#*}+%!
Are Sox batters instructed not to run to first on a dropped 3rd strike?
Can’t run on dropped 3rd strike if there is a runner on first base with fewer than 2 outs.
First base was open. Anderson had moved to 2nd on Moncada’s groundout.
My bad.
🙄
I like those Royals uniforms
It was smart of them to wait until many other cities did theirs.. because most of them are complete trash. I really like the KC logo, they should adopt that for all their uni’s.
Royals up by 2 runs already. If they scored another, we lost the game already.
I hope this ages poorly
I really hope this is the last game of VV as a White Sox
I am not ready to go that far…but I have a question…why did he start today? I mean, in a week in which we got starts from Cueto and Martin, Vince seems superfluous.
I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the inevitable splashy mid-season acquisition that totally tanks as soon as they arrive
Lance Lynn and Eloy Jimenez not withstanding.
At this point there’s no reason to think when either of them return that they’ll stay healthy, unfortunately.
This defense…getting tiresome to watch.

This team sucks. There really isn’t much more to say about it. They’ve looked lifeless since that series in Cleveland a month ago.
That was the point when Tony started playing with the lineups and he hasn’t stopped since.
What an offense. I’m thinking Menochino gets the boot if they lose this one.
And of course, Rick and Tony will probably get contract extensions.
Loading the bases and then popping out on a fastball right down the goddamn middle. Pathetic
Whoa, Benetti just said the Sox are 1 for 20 with the bases loaded this year. How is that possible?
Entire team is pressing
Those KC uniforms look sharp.
Brilliant move starting VV today. And tomorrow Keuchel will get shelled by the Yankees.
Tony lining up his playoff rotation.
Any update on Kopech’s status for the weekend? If that is still in doubt, I guess I can sort of understand giving Velasquez one last start.
They are just laughably pathetic
Not often can you say “that was a ballsy bunt.” But I think you could say that down 3 with an 0-2 count.
Bases loaded, nobody out, top of the order. They better put a crooked number up.
bases loaded nobody out, Timmy up, great chance to disappoint once again buckos!
A… hit? Multiple runs? Chasing the starter before the seventh? Pinch me I’m dreaming
For a second there I thought this reliever’s name was Roland Bolands
Your name’s Thurman Merman?
Wow, a hit with the bases loaded!!!
Awww, don’t take Hernandez out. You’re no fun.
Pathetic. Simply pathetic.
They finally get patient and get walked, and then can’t manage anything more than weaker grounders. Loathesome stuff
It’s my bad. I complained about their .OBP, instead of their .OPS, to start the thread.
Finally, some accountability! Thank you @Foulkelore for taking responsibility for something that is clearly your fault.

Can the White Sox score 5 runs?
Probably not after @Foulkelore screwed up his wish by not phrasing it carefully enough.
Hey, they could score two more runs solely via walks.
In your question, are White Sox runs like dog years? Or Canadian dollars? Or the metric system? Or the heat index? Because 3 runs *feels* like 5 runs.
I think you’re referring to pew point, similar to dew point, but smellier.
They did it, but I’m sure not positive about the answer.
The double play machine strikes again!!
.610 xBA GIDP. Bleh.
It doesn’t matter what the xBA is. You’ve got to elevate that ball in that situation.
I’ll tell you what, this series is a great preview of close playoff baseball between two contenders. Wait. Oh.
Just setting up the Witt Jr. walk off HR that’s going to be plastered all over social media
Joe Kelly is not the dude I want to see right now lmao
Joe Kelly with a lead?! That’s not allowed, shut it down
We’re going to need Kelly. He’s getting better!
Five runs?! What have we done to be spoiled by this bounty of riches?!
Good to see a few clutch hits today!! Baby steps.
Do you all just hate watch the Sox?
We’re eternal optimists with an inferiority complex overcompensating
I am generally an optimist but it’s been a frustrating series given how doodoo the royals are
Benetti with a great point calling out how it makes no sense to pinch hit Engel for Mcguire (Grandal has to come in and catch), while letting Sheets hit against the lefty. They should have pinch hit both Grandal and Engel. They took the lead, but that’s still a mistake.
Combine that with Gordon’s comment about the “interesting” choice to hit-and-run and it’s clear Tony has lost the announcers
There was some of that about the lineup earlier in this series. I think “interesting” was deployed in a way that meant “I don’t approve, but won’t say more.”
Gordon made that very clear.
Gordon: “It’s interesting.”
🤣
They’re on fire now!!
An XBH? That’s not allowed. Are they stealing signs?
How long until we have a pitch com listening scandal?
This was maybe the most exasperating series win I’ve seen in a long while
The most exasperating series win imaginable is still orders of magnitude less frustrating than some of the recent series losses we’ve witnessed.
Watching this team is just…. unpleasant
A lot of positives to take out of the last half of this game. Some clutch hitting, good bullpen work. Let’s hope that continues into NY.
