White Sox Wake Up Call: April 14, 2022
Last night: Through waves of rain the Chicago White Sox thanks to home runs from Eloy Jimenez, Tim Anderson, and Luis Robert beat Seattle, 6-4.
Today: Both teams after fighting the rain will have to fight strong winds this afternoon as Jimmy Lambert makes the start.
Down on the Farm: Charlotte and Memphis combine for 32 runs, and Birmingham notches their first victory of the season.
Around MLB: Clayton Kershaw flirts with perfection, Cleveland is 4-2 on the season, and Vlad Guerrero Jr. knocks out three homers at Yankee Stadium.
I know what most of you guys think about Zack Collins, so I thought you might be amused by this perspective on his “defence.”

He is bad hitter (or at least has been historically), therefore he must be a good defender. I think that’s how it works.
Oh, this is hilarious. The following are actual words written about Collins (maybe don’t use fielding percentage to judge his defensive ability):
“His real skill comes behind the plate rather than in the batter’s box. He has a career .995 fielding percentage … As a defence-first catcher, Collins has been focused on familiarizing himself with Toronto’s elite rotation and bullpen for his first two weeks with the team.”
