Glad Garcia moved up in order

soxygen

Why couldn’t he have moved Leury to 9th? Or 8th? Or 7th? Or 6th?

HallofFrank

About a week ago, Leury hit 6th in the order. And I remember thinking, “that’s goofily high for Leury.”

Augusto Barojas

When Pollock was out, their offense really seemed to flounder. Now that he’s back, maybe they will play with a renewed sense of porpoise.

BuehrleMan

I think it’s always a nice treat to have a player called after a fish. Sure Mike Trout would be preferable but I’ll take what I can get.

Unbelievable. Yet somehow it isn’t. Obviously they’re forced to have Leury in the lineup with all of the injuries. But why is it apparent to basically anyone with eyes except for the Hall of Fame manager that Leury doesn’t belong anywhere near the top of a Major League lineup!? Especially with the way he’s looked so far this season. Let him figure it out from the 9th spot. I’m convinced we’re in the Twilight Zone now.

So bizarre.

Root Cause

The lineup is better if you invert it. Prove me wrong!

As Cirensica

Put Sheets to hit 2nd

jhomeslice

Well TA7 gets suspended a game for giving Cleveland fans the middle finger. Maybe TLR should be suspended for giving Sox fans the middle finger by hitting Leury 2nd or 3rd the past 3 games?

Bulls laying an egg tonight so far. Brutal.

As Cirensica

Leury to hit leadoff on suspension day

Foulkelore

Yay, non-singles!

As Cirensica

I think putting Vaughn more often in the line up is a good idea

calcetinesblancos

He’s no Leury but he’s ok.

jhomeslice

I heard rumor that TLR is trying to find a way to clone Leury, and replace Vaughn with him. That is, in the games that the original Leury does not play instead of Vaughn.

calcetinesblancos

I like the way Steve and Jason were acting like it would be shocking if The Russa asked Burger to lay down a bunt.

As Cirensica

Leury really could use a break. Seriously. That error, I think he is pressed to do things he can’t do.

jhomeslice

On a positive, Kopech could not look any better to start his season.

jhomeslice

No love for Kopech from anybody? One of the brightest spots of the season so far really. Encouraging at least, while their hitters remain asleep.

As Cirensica

He’s been great. Concern is for how long.

Foulkelore

Small sample size, but before tonight Eloy has slashed .168/.252/.336 in 119 PAs at DH vs. .281/.323/.521 in 876 PAs at LF. He might be one of those players that can’t handle DH.

jhomeslice

That’s a pretty telling stat. Maybe he can’t DH, but he sure creates worry if he is in LF all the time based on history.

He sure has not been the same since coming back in the 2nd half last year. Looks nothing like his 2019/20 self, very rarely. Maybe start with full time LF to see if that helps, but I’m guessing it doesn’t solve everything with him.

md03

Was worried about that with the injury, you would thing a strong pec would be pretty important for a hitter let alone a guy who’s known for his power. Hope he can at least find that high BA swing sometime soon.

I hate this sock full of wet noodles they’re using as a baseball. Gimme 9-6 games, plz.

As Cirensica

Unnecessary throw by abreu. Clownshow

Foulkelore

Yep, just brutal defense by the team since Wednesday

God I love this team. They make me feel so much better about all my personal shortcomings and poor decision making.

You can’t win a World Series with Tim Anderson and Jose Abreu as the faces of your franchise.

jhomeslice

You definitely can’t win one with a manager who makes Renteria seem pretty smart.

Since when did the Bad News Bears do an Invasion of the Body Snatchers on the White Sox!? I’m not saying they were the best defense team in history or anything, but this has been a clown show! Doing everything in their power to play down to, or below their opponents level since Cleveland. Infuriating.

soxygen

I would have thought with the bases loaded that Yaz would get an at bat for McGuire there. I mean, walk ties the game there.

Foulkelore

Yep, I would have done that as well. We are not hall of fame baseball people though.

md03

This better not be a sign of what’s to come, wish this would be a wake up call to get this dumb manager out of here but it’s probably past Jerry’s bedtime anyway.

BuehrleMan

Welke totally hosed McGuire on the 1-0 pitch with one out and the bases loaded in the 9th. Of course the Sox hosed themselves with their circus act on defense in the bottom of the 8th. Brutal.

calcetinesblancos

That was impressive focus after that shit call.

As Cirensica

Just like that, the White Sox are under 500. Horseshit defense. Questionable lineups. Injuries. All ingredients to keep sinking.

roke1960

This would be the time for a managerial change if the GM had the authority to do it. But we all know he can’t do that.

I’m sure once the weather heats up these types of games will be different. They’ll be 5-4 losses.

patrick

I’ve gone from positive they were going to win the division to pretty sure they’re going to win the division. But good gracious I can’t imagine a single team they could beat in the playoffs.

Streaky, injury prone, and bad defensively is not a combination that wins championships. Which is what they were in 2021…and now 2022. Any team would be foolish not to just throw up a bunch of RHPs at them and take your easy wins.

Augusto Barojas

That’s just surface levels stuff. The morale on this team is going to be shot. Players aren’t stupid, they are going to ask why the F Garcia is hitting so high in the lineup when they aren’t scoring.

The vibe of this team will be the same as if there was a player who was a total clubhouse cancer. Only the cancer is the manager. This team cannot possibly win a title with this dipshit at the helm.

Shingos Cheeseburgers

There’s a non zero chance the emotional high water mark of the rebuild is a Leury Garcia home run in a series they handily loss.

As Cirensica

This says it all

Foulkelore

Or … Hahn found a 2/3 hitter for $16.5 million and $29.6 million less than the competition. That’s a resume builder.
