Positive vibes coming into this one given Giolito is pitching. I wonder how long that will last.
Whelp
The 2022 White Sox might not be very good but their vibes are undefeated
This new baseballs are made of lead
Yeah, I don’t like a game where hitting a ball in the air at 114.8 mph is an out.
One hit through 6 innings is not ideal.
This game is the season for the Sox offense in a nutshell.
Through six, the Sox have the top two (and 3 of 5) hardest balls hit. They are getting outhit 7-1.
The Sox have the 2nd and 4th longest balls hit in the game. Both were fly outs. The 1st, 3rd, and 5th—HR, HR, 2B.
What is happening?
And another with Vaughn’s 111.3 mph lineout. The bad luck on the hard hit balls has been incredible this year.
It’s joke. Like, it doesn’t even make sense.
They just put up a graphic, for those that missed it: Sox batters have hit 5 balls 100+ mph EV tonight. All outs.
Maybe the Sox bad luck starts with the manager.
I wish we had a GM with better luck, maybe we would have Tepera instead of Kelly.
Sox have been especially unlucky against right handed pitching for the past 200 games. Damn those other teams and their lucky hits.
No they haven’t. There is an actual difference between being bad and being unlucky. The Sox have been a mixture of both a lot of this year. But the unlucky is making the bad more unbearable.
Jake Burger looking all around competent has been pleasant to see in an otherwise unpleasant April
Grandal falling off a cliff is not so pleasant
The bad ‘it’s still April’ team might dig a hole the good ‘it’s not April’ Team might not be able to overcome
I don’t think Harrison is unlucky. I think he is actually very, very bad. I hope there are not many occasions where both he and Leury are in the same lineup.
Miguel Cairo sighting!
The rebuild was more fun than this.
