As Cirensica

New agenda when watching Sox games:

  1. Will we win?
  2. What will be the clown show theme this time?

How does Giolito’s stuff look today? I see he’s only given up a Cruz HR but he’s also throw 52 pitches through 3.

As Cirensica

He has giving up two hits, both to Cruz. He looks sharp.

Yep, he was just a little off with his control early, which led to an inefficient pitch count, but the 4th helped that.

Joliet Orange Sox

Giolito did everything one might hope for to win this game today. 1 run on 2 hits in 8 innings. 11 strikeouts, 3 walks, 17 swing and misses. Welcome back Lucas!

I’m glad he pitched well in the eighth – the whining and bitching here would’ve been unbearable.

How about being glad he pitched well in the 8th, because it will help the Sox win?

Yes, exactly.

And if Giolito faltered around the 100 pitch count, maybe let it go and hope the Sox rebound on Friday.

Good hustle, Adam. He beat it with the toe stretch hitting the bag.

Got lucky with scoring in an inning we bunted. Would rather see another take sign than a bunt sign from Tony rest of year

Hendriks looked filthy today. More of that please.

That was what we paid $52M for. That was impressive.

Very impressive win. Now if Tony resigns afterward, it would be a perfect day.
