I can’t believe there are two high-level baseball players named Max Muncy.
It keeps throwing me off. I double-check every time and ask myself, “Are we sure it’s not Matt?”
I played with Mat Nelson in little league snd against him in high school (struck him out on 3 pitches once, a video I have watched many times over and asked myself why me and my 82 MPH fastball hadn’t been drafted).
He’s incredible. I played against Tresh and Mace in my day as well, nobody holds themselves to a higher standard, or carries themselves like a true professional, than Nelson. It shows in his jump from last season to this; he is a lock to put in the requisite work and it has been clear since we were 9 that he has “it” like nobody else I’ve ever seen
