You are being too kind. Isn’t 86 in line with the projections? Doesn’t help when two guys crack the starting lineup who probably aren’t mlb players, but this looks more like a 75 win lineup without Tim and Eloy.
I wonder if it’s related to good framing. Does part of being a good framer mean that he is catching the ball slightly earlier sometimes, trying to reach for the right spot in the strike zone? I’m curious if there’s correlation between good framers and catcher’s interference.
I really hope that getting stuck with these 10th inning assignments doesn’t hurt Crochet’s confidence. I get that he is nails, but asking a guy with less than 20 professional innings to strand runners on second with no outs in a tie game doesn’t sound great on paper
When it comes down to Nick Williams and Jake Lamb, you’re going to have a bad time.

Wow, what an awesome pitching matchup tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed watching Giolito and the bullpen. Fun game! Definitely would’ve been better coming away triumphant, but hey, look at our lineup and who they had to facing tonight. Gotta give credit where it’s due.
I feel like Yermín had the best at bat against the reigning Cy Young winner out of anyone. He’s never faced him before and coming off the bench in the 9th. To be able to lay off those breaking pitches tells me he was paying attention on the bench and was ready. Super impressive- I feel like his name should be on every lineup card. Would’ve liked to see what he does with more AB’s against Bieber tonight.
Ahhh the Gio Changeup….thing of beauty
What’s the ratio of times the broadcast identifies a pitch as a knuckle curve.and the actual number of times a knuckle curve is thrown?
Wow. That is a very good move
Yeah, really can’t afford to get picked off when you can barely get anybody on base vs. Beiber, Danny.
First team to score wins?
Might have to be in the 10th the way it’s going. Both teams look like they might need the help of that free base runner against this pitching.
You were right. Is this Ruby’s account?
I know it’s early and they’re missing their best player but this is starting to feel like an 86-win team to me.

I was weak for a moment this offseason and raised my expectations and hopes for this club. How silly, how gauche.
So, everybody’s done with the Giolito must pitch to McCann/Giolito can’t pitch to Grandal stuff, right?
Yes, but maybe not so slow of a hook/high of a pitch count this early on in the season
As someone who might like pitchers with great changeups a little, watching Heuer last night and Giolito/Marshall tonight has been awesome.
Good job, Ruby!
I’m beyond skeptical of this tarot card / sage spray mumbo jumbo but if it helps Hendriks get his head right, so be it.
C’mon PITO
Moncada racking up garbage at bat after garbage at bat
Agreed, I get the feeling he doesn’t feel comfortable hitting clean-up. I don’t know who else slots in there, but this lineup needs him hitting!
I can’t stand having a runner on second to start the 10th ..cheapens the game
Seems like a common occurrence for Grandal.

Grandal now has more Catcher’s Interferences this year than hits vs RHP

So it comes to this: Jake Lamb
And so it goes
