Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Letโs talk curling.

Very cool – Len Kasper is on the webcast/MLB TV call.
And with Rich King, who called Sox games on WBBM-AM about forty years ago!
(Related to that fact, King remarked that he has received the vaccine because he is old.)
King just told a Red Grange story.
Stiever’s first pitch was 96 mph. Good sign.
Yeah, a little more bite on his slider, too.
His pitches look better, but he’s sure giving up a lot of hard contact, so far.
He’s been up in the zone.
The extremely hard contact was one of his main issues in his brief time last year. .655 expected wOBA on contact. Lots of barrels.
Abreuโs really good with his throws to 2nd. Nice play.
Vaughn and Moncada back to back is not going to help the pace of play.
It will if Moncada actually bunts.
Not the rally one would expect with Eloy/Moncada/Vaughn, but it scores a run anyway.
Kodi Medeiros, the pride of Hilo, in to try to stop the rally.
How does Jose Ruiz keep showing up on this roster?
If it makes you feel better, with good health, there isn’t going to be room for him on the 26-man roster. So … progress?
Good lord Luis Robert is fast.
I mean, I knew that. But I never take it for granted.
Eloy and Eaton have both taken steps in on balls hit over their heads.
Announcers should just go with Adam Eagle. Weโll figure it out.
Adam E. from Ohio, you’re on the air.
The old 5-2-3-2 triple play.
Sox hit into a triple play before getting their first win. (May this only apply to the preseason, when none of it counts.)
I could say they’d have at least one win without other teams ending innings prematurely, but then again, one of those situations was also when Abreu was up with the bases loaded, and that just happened. Part of the beauty of baseball: can put up a crooked number with nobody on and 2 outs or score nothing with the bases loaded and 0 outs.
Dylan Thomas pinch-running for the Mariners? At his age?
He went pretty gently there.
And the sun’s not even down.
So, I guess Guerrero’s thing is going to be to load the bases but then get out of it.
