A empty game thread seems sad so I’m posting something. Today, we were reminded that Steve Stone grew up in Cleveland the son of a jukebox repair man. I also learned that Larry Sherry’s brother Norm Sherry was a catcher who helped Koufax improve his control. On the field, the Sox used some relievers I hope we never see during the season.
There is no game thread for today’s (March 18, aka Rich King’s birthday) game against the Royals so I’m posting here in what I’ve come to view as my own personal thread.
Today, I have learned that Chuck Garfien’s and Rich King’s attitude vector about Billy Hamilton differs from mine only slightly in magnitude but is 180˚ different in direction.
No worries. No one really needs a spring training game thread. I only know when the spring training webcasts are because I found out on soxmachine.com, my primary source for Sox news. However, I am concerned you are not as focused on Rich King’s birthday as perhaps you should be.
