he hit it hard but that was more error then double

Timmy was mic’d up during a practice and was calling Madrigal, “Mission 3000”. Also, ribbed Mercedes, “Call him Mercedes, but shaped like a Buick”. Funny stuff.

This game is filled with moments that are perfect for the beginning of the 2021 White Sox documentary, contrasting their eventual dominance over the Dodgers in the World Series.
Such as: Nick Madrigal making contact on a pitch so far inside that he fell down and grounded into a double play vs. key contact in a clutch scenario against a strikeout pitcher to get a key run in.
I am fairly incredulous that a bad manager can someone magically make a talented team into losers — especially not *this quickly* — but I do want to point out that if that were true, this would be what it looks like.
If the Sox win 100 games this year I’m not likely to give LaRussa much of that credit. But you better believe if the Sox lose 100 games this year I am putting on the blame on him & Jerry (and maybe Eaton).
Yeah, I’m good on pitchers named Wright for a while: Danny, Mike, whatever – no thanks.
Sox seem to be slow playing their pitchers more than others.
I initially read this as “paying,” which would also explain things.
Eloy still double pumping his throws. Guess that wasn’t addressed in off season.
Wow… another collision in the field (Eloy and Luis R). Pretty sure that happened yesterday in the infield as well.
This looks like a high school team against the defending world champs…ouch
I like the sound of tomorrow’s scheduled pitchers better: Lynn, Kopech, Crochet, Hendriks. Definitely tuning into that webcast.
Yes. Considering the pitching matchup today, this is probably 60th percentile outcome. Tomorrow is definitely must see tv.
Well, Vaughn got an extra-base hit. That’s something.

Looks like Burdi got roughed up a bit. Was it two walks then a homer? Oh well. I know there’s no radar gun for fans but how was his velocity?
Couldn’t throw strikes. Like way way way out of the strike zone.
Ah, thanks. Related note – Garfein says Kopech throwing hard, but very wild. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

How dare he start Mike Wright.
That was just Wrong.
I think the Law of Conservation of W’s requires us to say that starting Wright was rong.
