White Sox Wake-Up Call: Aug. 26, 2020

Good morning. Here’s the rundown:

  • TODAY: Dallas Keuchel tries to keep up his perfect percentage of satisfactory starts against trade bait Trevor Williams.
  • AROUND THE LEAGUE: Yolmer Sánchez is back, as are Jose Quintana and the Mets, although with diminishing returns.

The Return of King Yolmeme.

Ohh yes!

The Sox have been magnificent since their terrible series against the returning Cardinals, and on the night Giolito threw his gem, the Mets actually had a worse post-quarantine doubleheader than the Sox did. No runs, and they gave up three stolen bases (including home) to one runner in an inning. Gary, Keith, and Ron were more enthused talking about Giolito than the game in front of them.

Anohito

To be fair, the mets were the one’s who were quarantined and expectedly were rusty and taken advantage of by a team playing regularly which is what the Sox should have did to the Cardinals. But that’s ancient history now.
