The best thing about June is the leaders in most of the positive statistical categories for the month are key members of the youth movement (Moncada, Jiménez, Giolito).

When Bill James wrote his Guide to Baseball Managers, one of the questions he posed in each profile was: “Did He Try to Solve His Problems with Proven Players or with Youngsters Who Still May Have Had Something to Learn?” Rick Renteria’s been brought into a couple of rebuilds, and the progress of Moncada, Jiménez, Giolito, and Tim Anderson under his supervision speak well of his tenure. Here’s hoping I can write something similar at midseason next year regarding Dylan Cease, Michael Kopech, Luis Robert, and Nick Madrigal.

Thanks for the effort you put into this Jim.  Really puts things into context and makes watching White Sox baseball all the more enjoyable.Â
