White Sox Minor Keys: May 19, 2019
The Kannapolis Intimidators have carried on despite a couple of notable absences over the past week, one of which required a trip to the injured list, and one that hasn’t, at least not yet.
*Corey Zangari hasn’t played since May 10, a game he departed after flying out in his third at-bat. He’s on the IL for reasons not yet disclosed, which isn’t good. Between the Tommy John surgery in 2017 and the broken wrist in 2018, he’s only played in 191 games since being drafted in 2015.
*Bryce Bush has missed the last two games, but there are no midgame departures to point to. He might just be getting a break, considering he’s 2-for-16 with 10 strikeouts over his previous five games.

Pilkington looking like a steal.
Also, is the whole southern league suppressing offense? The Barrons offense has obviously been punchless but their pitchers have also been great. Wondering if this is a league-wise trend or if their pitching is just out-pacing the bats that dramatically.
Blake Battenfield Baffling Batters in BirminghamÂ
Rutherford beginning to show the faintest signs of life at BHam.
He’s 7-for-36 in his last 10 games…
It’s better than 6 for 36.
I really don’t know why you’d use such an enormous sample size, Josh.
Some fun anagrams: orangeade misprised, emparadised regions, gardenias reimposed, damaged ironies reps.
Serious question: do normal organizations use their top prospect as a minor league pinch runner?
Hey, that’s your next White Sox manager that your talking about there, mister. Tread lightly.
Probably about as often a they use them to bunt runners over while tied 2-2 in the 7th.
Update re: Bush
