Within two weeks the Chicago White Sox will begin the 2019 regular season in Kansas City. Good time for us at Sox Machine to start to roll out our season prediction content. For Monday’s podcast, our good friend, Joe Ostrowski from 670 the Score, will join us to share his Over/Under picks for the White Sox. Plus, his choices for MVP, and which teams will beat Vegas projections in wins.
You can play along by making your Over/Under picks in the form below. The user who has the most guesses correct after the regular season will win a sweet Sox Machine gift box*. Make sure to enter a username as we’ll periodically post leaderboard results and an email address that will be best to contact if you win!
*Exact items in gift box will be determined at a later date, but may include some awesome Sox Machine pint glasses. If you’re impatient, you can sign up at Patreon to receive one: https://www.patreon.com/soxmachine
It sure is easy to be pessimistic when you start seeing numbers.
My thoughts exactly.
I don’t know what I’m more disappointed by:
The Sox not getting Machado, or Scott Merkin beating James Fegan in the 108 brackets.
What happens if a player is traded? Do the stats transfer, or are they frozen on trade day?
Transfer
If Engel gets over 90.5 starts, it will be a long season.
Some of these were really hard. I chose to be an optimist with most of the young players. Everything else was really easy to be a pessimist about. Even if there is a 10 win improvement between Moncada, Anderson, Eloy, and the starting staff, that still leaves them short of 75 wins. Really don’t see that happening but I hope I’m wrong.
I’ll put actual attendance at about 750,000
With the answers I put, this is a contest I’d rather not win. 12 days left to find some optimism.
