White Sox Minor Keys: July 7, 2018
Intimidators Stadium in Kannapolis (Jim Margalus)
Nick Madrigal was supposed to play two games for the AZL White Sox before heading to Kannapolis today, but he wasn’t in the lineup on Sunday. Either that means he’s ahead of schedule, or he’s wasted little time succumbing to mystery ailments.

So, Clarkin at least had his control. And, presumably, his health.
If Madrigal is not in a starting line-up today, I will hit peak rebuild dour.
From Joses Abreu to Rodriguez, it’s been a very trying season.
When Nicky D finishes rehab, does he return? If so, who goes down? Palka? Engel? Tilson?
I don’t think swapping Nicky for Tilson is necessarily the best fit for the roster. But the lack of playing time for Charlie, who I see as potentially the most Major Leaguerey of the group, isn’t doing him any favors.
My vote, Bruce Rondon, down, out gone.
See ya
That’s what I’d do. I don’t think the Sox will reduce the bullpen, though.
Either that means heโs ahead of schedule, or heโs wasted little time succumbing to mystery ailments.
Oh, he got all of that one!
Apropos of nothing, Robert’s been in the organization about a year now and I have frustratingly little more information to assess his ceiling/floor/etc. And I probably won’t get anything meaningful until spring.ย
The Lenyn Sosa hype train keeps rolling! Peep that 11% K rate ?
Who is he again? International signing, age, buzz, etc?
I don’t recall, just asking.ย
2016 international signing for $325k bonus. Youngest player on Great Falls by 2+ years and hitting .333/.337/.481 in 82 PA this season.
Okay I’ll hop on the bandwagon, too, until he ends up on the DL.ย
I give it two weeks.ย
I was all set to assume that Madrigal’s abscence was related to his HBPs and leaving the game early, but according to Paul Sullivan he’s headed to Kanny https://twitter.com/PWSullivan/status/1014933206947237888?s=19
