Sox Machine Live!: Carlos Rodon shuts down St. Louis

The Rundown:

  • Carlos Rodon was brilliant against the St. Louis Cardinals as he sequenced his fastball, changeup, and slider well for 7.1 scoreless innings. We ponder if the changeup will be the difference between a very good Carlos Rodon, and future All-Star Carlos Rodon.
  • Dylan Covey didn’t have anything near the success Rodon did. Should Sox fans begin to lose hope that Covey can’t hold up as a starting pitcher?
  • The DL list continues to pile up for the Sox with Micker Adolfo and now Miguel Gonzalez out with surgeries.
  • Preview the upcoming series against the Kansas City Royals.

No White Sox player on the 25-man has an OPS over .800. We’re back to that crap again.
