Another guy who aced Triple-A last year rounds into shape…

  • Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 2, Charlotte 1
    • Tyler Flowers went 1-for-3 with a walk.  It was the first time in seven games he didn’t strike out.
    • Carlos Torres was sharp: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9 K.
    • Jordan Danks doubled and struck out once over four at-bats.
    • Dayan Viciedo went 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch.
  • Birmingham 7, Montgomery 4
    • Brent Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk and his third stolen base.  Looks like the speed part is starting to shape up.
    • Christian Marrero doubled and hit a solo shot.
    • Buck Coats went 3-for-5 with two strikeouts.
  • Winston-Salem 7, Lynchburg 5
    • Jon Gilmore went 3-for-5 with a double, RBI and a strikeout.
    • Brandon Short went 1-for-5 with a double; Justin Greene wore the collar.
    • Eduardo Escobar singled, tripled and struck out twice.
    • Justin Edwards eked out a quality start: 6 IP, 9 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K.
    • Kyle Bellamy was touched up for two runs on three hits (a solo homer) over 1 2/3 innings.
  • Kannapolis 11, Delmarva 10
    • Kyle Colligan drove in five with a 2-for-5 day, which included a double.
    • Brady Shoemaker went 2-for-3 with a homer and a walk.
    • Trayce Thompson went 1-for-4.
