Bear with me

The server change is still proceeding slowly.  Brutally so.  Can you tell I’ve never done this before?
But there’s another reason for the delay — the newspaper industry.
I still have a job, but a lot of good people in my shop are out of theirs.  Including the guy who gave me the opportunity to write a couple really cool stories, like this one. It’s basically the culmination of five months’ worth of tension (which isn’t over yet), and coupling with the trench warfare that is me against an SQL database, it all makes for a pretty bad week.
Hopefully the All-Star break will do everybody good.  Most of all, White Sox starting pitching.
Thanks for your patience.

Hang in there Jim – focus on the job first. I hope things work out, but remember you are a talented, hard-working journalist.

indeed, hang in there. that’s cool you got to interview the gentleman masher and papa thome…does he know about the sox machine’s tributes to him. and do you think he’s aware of other people’s (if there is a grain of truth to mlbdugout) perception of him?

Thanks, guys. Things are getting back to normal, although I’m heading up to Montreal this weekend. After that… we’re looking at normalcy.
(Although the DB stuff is still being a bitch.)
I was on official business, so that stuff didn’t come up. But really, the Dugout persona is only a mild exaggeration.
