Weekend update

I plowed through the month of August today, and realized that the suspended game against the Orioles is going to mess with people's heads in a few years.

Although the game was completed Aug. 25, it still goes down in the game logs as the April 28 game, which means guys like Ken Griffey Jr. have some 'splaining to do:

And remember a couple of weeks ago when Seth asked if anybody knew of any Blackhawks blogs?  Here are a couple candidates:
  • Fifth Feather: A recently started endeavor by occasional Sox Machine commenter El Duque's Raft.
  • Second City Hockey When I checked it a couple weeks ago, the only posts were open threads.  Now they seem to have more content, so keep an eye on it.

Er... charming place... nothing like total desert to make you want to play some baseball.

Should've stayed in Tucson.

I don't think the White Sox will replace one injury prone 3B for another. Just like the case with Brian Anderson and Jerry Owens, we need to figure out if Fields has a future role with this team and if not trade him for another long term solution.

One of my friends at Mizzou got a gig as a Blackhawks writer on the same site I write for:

Also, if KW wants to get younger and faster, Mike Lowell's a perfect fit! Great thinking by Rosenthal.

Jim, you are awesome. Thanks so much for this.

BTW....in my season in MLB Power Pros, I'm heading into June and Thome is leading the league with 20HRs. I'm glad he's bouncing back. This game is actually making me like him better.
