Weekend update
First off, some video of Jeffrey Marquez

So THAT'S why Kenny Williams likes him.

Carlos Quentin says his wrist is healed, and his sense of humor is coming around, too:
An always intense and focused individual on the field, Quentin was
relaxed and in good humor on Friday. He even joked about the role of
Brian Anderson, his friend and White Sox teammate, in his upcoming
wedding.
"I'm looking forward to have him park cars," said Quentin,
having a little fun at Anderson's expense. "He was very excited about
that job."
"I need work!"
Anderson said.
[Beckham's Cliffs Notes] Anderson's saying that because he doesn't get a lot of playing time, and because of the show "Saturday Night Live." In case you have never seen it, they often have cartoons in the middle of the show which aren't live but very funny. It makes fun of because he's imitating Mr. T, who, if you don't know, was on a show called the A-Team and in one of the Rocky movies (the one about the boxer played about Sylvester Stallone), but hasn't been in a lot of other things lately. So he's walking around looking for work, and he keeps saying that, and it's hilarious, especially since he's trying out for "A Doll's House." If you've never heard of it, it's an old play by Henrik Ibsen, who was a Norwegian playwright, and it was ahead of its time in terms of criticizing the incredibly uneven traditional gender roles of the Victorian era. lol[/Beckham's Cliffs Notes]

Mike MacDougal was outrighted to Charlotte, and he continues to have one of the strangest contract situations I've ever seen.
The White Sox on Friday outrighted disappointing relief pitcher Mike MacDougal to Class AAA Charlotte.
If MacDougal declines the assignment, he forfeits his
$2.65 million salary for 2009. The Sox also hold a $3.75 million option
on MacDougal for 2010, which includes a 350,000 buyout.
Last year, it didn't become clear until spring training that he had a minor-league option remaining. Now he joins Donny Lucy as a former 40-man roster member who could be selected in the Rule 5 draft, seeing that he's no longer on the 40-man roster. Except Lucy is 26, and MacDougal is 31.
