Bringing home the bacon, kind of

Joe Crede received a warm showing of support from the Tribune...

...and popped out to second in his only at-bat in the All-Star Game.

Carlos Quentin got an unusually kind piece from Chris De Luca (with the requisite shot at Orlando Cabrera)...

...and went 0-for-4, striking out on a hanger from Carlos Marmol and unleashing a mighty F-bomb.

But hey, their team will still get home field advantage if they get that far.

Jim, OT, when do we get the Ozuna obit tagged to the 2005 squad "in memorium"? You had to have that one on ice for 2 years.

I was waiting to see if he'd accept a minor league assignment, which would make the obituary premature. It appears that he's gone now, but I suppose there's a chance he won't make a major-league roster. We'll see.
