Here's one of two video clips I have from my trip to Boston, watching Jose Contreras and Freddy Garcia banter in the outfield. They were having a side-splittingly good time during batting practice, and I wasn't aware that either had a sense of humor.
So now I'm wondering what joke Jose might've said to make Freddy double over. Some ideas:
Jose: What do you call four runs in six innings?
Freddy: What?
Jose: A good start!
Freddy: Hey, check out that ad for Flomax!
Jose: Yeah -- you should see if they make it for basestealers!
Jose: So that's the Green Monster, huh?
Freddy: Yes, sir.
Jose: Isn't that what you named your last spliff?
