Of course, of COURSE I picked this game to attend.
This game was awful. The only highlights were things that had nothing to do with the actual game, such as getting a sweet deal on tickets ($70 seats for $25 through some random but awesome promotion), eating a delicious tri-tip French dip sandwich, and seeing an obnoxious White Sox fan and an equally obnoxious Dodger fan both get tossed in the ninth inning, ostensibly for being too obnoxious.
The lowlights? Everything else. I was sitting 15 rows back down the right field line, so I got a nice view of Jermaine's horrible, horrible error. I had to listen to the aforementioned obnoxious fans for the first eight innings. I had to watch the sickening wave, though thankfully it only lasted for half an inning (and the Dodgers were up). The offense and defense, obviously, did not show up. I told every Dodger and White Sox fan who would listen that Pablo is a worthless human being, but given how listlessly the entire team was playing, they didn't really buy it.
I have now been to two White Sox games in LA this year. They've scored a total of 0 runs in those two games, with a combined seven hits and one extra-base hit. The only other game I've been to this year was the final game of the Seattle series, where they managed to lose 6-3 to easily the worst team in the AL (granted, we didn't necessarily know this at the time).
All I can say is, I'm glad the Sox aren't making any more trips to Southern California.

If down the right field line by the outfield is $ 70.00, how much are those theater-type seats behind home....where the "fans who never watch the action" sit ?

It was actually just a couple of sections past first base. I think we ended up with the worst $70 seats in the house. That said, the ones behind home plate (and the ones within ten rows of the field, where they have tables), are surely well over $100.

I just checked the Dodger site for ticket prices.....those "Dugout Club" seats are priced at 500.00 - 650.00.
In the game I was watching, no one in those seats was paying a lick of attention to what was happening on the field...at least Jack Nicholson is into the Laker action....
